PVILLE: Yes Piper, it taking so very long to make than modern-day, I can just see Piper and how she'd go on a rant. ES: Hehehehe! Fun to still let Piper be Piper, even if she's taking Phoebe's place. PVILLE: And I'm sure, she'd be thinking of Leo the whole time. ES: Canon Piper probably would. But I think our Piper would still be thinking of Mark, part of why she won't turn into Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper. PVILLE: Now, I'm thinking of the book, and how much smaller it would be. I'd often wondered, if the book has a way to magically add more pages to itself or something, like what happens when the book gets filled up. ES: I think whoever it is on the other side who writes in the Book also adds pages to the Book. Although you might be right - it might just add pages on its own. PVILLE: And I'm sure Shannen would kill the performance playing Prudence here. ES: Thinking of her playing Jenna in EC (that and the name...) is what helped us decide to let Shannen play Prudence. PVILLE: I can see how much fun Shannen and Alyssa would have playing bad. ES: It looked like Holly and Alyssa were having such fun in 'Bride and Gloom' that we can just imagine how much fun these two would've had. PVILLE: Oh, Martin was just so anoying, hated him, but you need someone like that in a show. ES: Yup, even though I hated Harry even more. Especially when he was part of one of my all-time favorite canon scenes - when Phoebe thinks Piper is talking about breaking up with Leo when she's actually talking about wanting to fire Martin! None of the sisters ever seemed to have nice bosses! PVILLE: Prue finally gave in. Even though, I read the novel, I forgot when that happened in the book. It has been a long time since I have. ES: YAY! Then your comments will be a lot more fun! PVILLE: I love your name for the demon as Demon of Time Changes, since I'm sure The Demon of Time is your Tempus. ES: Naturally, that has to be Tempus. I was so happy when one of our members came up with Demon of Time Changes. PVILLE: I'm sure I'd be crying with them when they learn Piper is alive, because they'd knock it out with the emotional acting. ES: Oh, isn't that the truth? I REALLY wish they had turned this novel into an episode! PVILLE: Did you guys always decide to cast Shannen as Prudence in the story? ES: I think so. Again, based on EC's Jenna and that name "Prudence". PVILLE: So glad you guys figured out the dates better, I know the only thing the book did wrong was have the dates wrong. ES: And I never knew the dates were wrong - fixing them was by whichever member wrote this press release. I guess the dates just aren't that important to me. ------------------- PVILLE: I'm so glad you allowed them to have a spell that allowed them to keep their powers in the past. I can't remember if that was what the book did or what you added but maybe the book may have been written before the episode 'All Halliwell's Eve' made it canon that they don't keep their powers in the past. ES: That I'm pretty sure was not in the novel, but since they did use their powers in the past, we had to figure a way to be sure they could use them. PVILLE: YAY group hug. ES: Hehehehe! This is the only reason why we wondered about casting Shannen as Prudence. Trying to have Prue and Prudence in the same scene would've been interesting... Especially when she'd be one of the ones hugging herself! But I'm sure they would've used her stand-in's back and make it work. PVILLE: Now, this is still accurate, they want to hang her, but Hugh suggests the cleanse to drown her. I wouldn't say the book went against true lore, since they still wanted to hang her, until he suggested that. ES: At least the book mentioned hanging rather than burning as Tim has reminded us 20 million times. *roll eyes*. And actually Summer decided to do that in hers because she read it in my Dream Charmed where I had Melinda hung. So he should give me the credit, which, of course he won't. PVILLE: Still can't help wondering how the chemistry between Piper and Prudence would be like, with Shannen and Holly. And I'm already attached to their growing bond here, and feel it more than I did had it been Phoebe and Prudence like the book. Might be because of you casting Shannen as Prudence, that I just know they'd do a good job. But, can't help feeling a big connection to it, and feel Piper's pain here. ES: Just wish Holly still would've felt the same way now...at least in our alternate universe, she can. At least in our alternate universe, I'm sure all four would have the same political views (as in, hopefully, none) and none of them would have cancer, so nothing would stop them from all being part of Charmed conventions! In fact (slight teaser), in ours, since Kern would never be part of it, Shannen would never be fired - but, yes, Rose *will* have a role... PVILLE: The Demon of Time Changes almost feels like the big bad of the first half of S1, even though he is in just two episodes. He's the strongest bad guy they have faced yet. ES: Definitely the Big Bad of the first half! I can't think of any of the Bads in the first half who were bigger/badder than him. PVILLE: No use for you now Hugh. I forgot the demon killed him. ES: The demon EATING Hugh?? I sure never forgot that! PVILLE: The power of folding really is cool, I just wonder if you guys will bring the powers in this one back for other warlocks. Now if you guys had Cole be a warlock, he could use that power to go back to the 1600s? ES: Hmmm. Never considered if we will let our Big Big Bad have that power. I'll have to suggest it to the others and see what they think. But, oh, yes, our Big Big Bad will definitely be the leader of the warlocks, not of the demons! But with Saturday's Peyton being half-demon, I'm pretty sure their Big Big Bad *will* be a demon. PVIILLE: I'm wondering now where Prudence and Cassandra relocated and set up home next. ES: Again the fun of press releases - that's something we never had to even think about. We just know that eventually the Warrens ended up in San Francisco. But since no one knew about California at this point, I doubt that's where they went after Salem. PVILLE: I love this ending, and ending on a funny note just made me smile. Good job, I'm glad I forgot a few parts of the book towards the end, so it was nice to be reminded. And really liked it even more than the real book. ES: So glad you liked it! We definitely had fun figuring out how to make it all work with our version of the Charmed Ones.

Well EXCUUUUUUUSSE MEEEEEEEE!!!
Did it ever occur to you, Esmeralda, that I didn't give you credit for the idea because I didn't know about this. Summer never told me where the idea came from, so I just assumed she had come up with it herself.
Once again, Esmeralda, you're seeing conspiracies where none exist.
And, for the love of God, do something about your avatar and sig pics. Why you insist on still using PhotoSuckit baffles me to no end.

So glad here Leo doesn't sleep with Piper since you skipped Wicca Envy. But no way Piper would after Mark. But here neither are really together Piper and Leo or yet. PVILLE: Love this scene where Darryl knows. Really liking what you've done with Peyton. No doubt she'd think they are nuts. PVILLE: I love when she catches him. Aww Piper her poor love Mark died. PVILLE: Love how well you guys let Darryl know but still keep the not knowing parts to Peyton. PVILLE: This is so good. Different than canon but better. PVILLE: I forgot about this scene. So funny. . PVILLE: AMAZING. These changes are just so good. Well done. PVILLE: I always loved the Leo healing Gordon parts. PVILLE: Love that ending and I see Piper is included as she left the scene in canon to make tea.

The annoying idiot that kept calling her "Pippy."
Seems they had nothing for Piper to do in the episode, so she got saddled with this stupid subplot.

CarinaphoebevilleDeidre WarrenSorry, guys, it's been a busy day with it being Father's Day, so I was doing a lot of chatting with the fathers I know - still can't zoom and the Microsoft Store is still closed - but that just made it take longer. So, PVille, I'll reply to your replies later. For now, here's tonight's episode: Yes, Tim, we know that Billy Drago is dead so you don't have to tell us. Oh, in case you're wondering. We're going to follow THIS canon and this is the last time the Demon of Fear will show up - but nothing says the DemonESS of Fear can't! And we continue our own fanon of letting demons only be Demons of, not giving them names.

I wasn't planning to.
The canon episode stated that he was only supposed to show up once every 1300 years. If they had stuck to that, he would have next showed up in 3299 (one wonders what kind of world he would have found). Of course, they couldn't abandon that idea fast enough.
Nice that you lot are sticking to the rules.

Carina phoebeville Deidre Warren Sorry, guys, it's been a busy day with it being Father's Day, so I was doing a lot of chatting with the fathers I know - still can't zoom and the Microsoft Store is still closed - but that just made it take longer. So, PVille, I'll reply to your replies later. For now, here's tonight's episode: PVILLE: That's alright Es, whenever you can. PVILLE: One of my favorites, really excited for this one. PVILLE: This was a pretty scary scene. R.I.P Billy Drago, he was great in the role, I wished he was part of just one episode. PVILLE: I loved the subplots in this one. PVILE: Here Darryl knows, while Peyton still doesn't, so nice when I hated how Andy was still in the dark here. PVILLE: Close call Phoebe. PVILLE: I love all the Prue/Phoebe scenes. Shannen really got the best material to work with Prue's personal character development episodes. PVILLE: PVILLE: This shocked me so much when first watching, really a terrifying moment. PVILLE: Loved this part, made me cry the fist time. I'm sure for you guys, this is Finola's voice. PVILLE: I loved this part. Still gets to me. PVILLE: And another good ending from canon, why change anything. PVILLE: I'm so glad you guys are doing that. THANK YOU, SO he won't return as Barbas, still roll my eyes that they changed canon when he got mentioned the first time as Barbas in his second episode, but first time he was only as the Demon of Fear. Demoness of Fear, that sounds cool. I'll wonder just what you'll do with Ms. Hellfire then.

He shouldn't have had a second episode, unless, they set said episode in 3299.
Of course, the Charmed Ones would have been long dead, but perhaps he could have been pitted against their descendants!

Carina Deidre Warren ES: And here's Sunday's episode. And it's our version of the episode you thought 'Whispers From the Past' would be, PVille, so you were awful darn close with your guess! PVILLE: ES: This is going to be a busy weekend for me, so I'm going to go ahead and reply to your reviews and also give you what would've been Sunday's episode. PVILLE: I loved this opening. I noticed the order is different than canon. Good way to truly bookend the episode with the sisters. ES: We tried our absolute hardest to make each beginning and each ending sister-centric. We didn't always succeed - sometimes there's an ending with just one or two sisters that we just HAD to keep - but we did our hardest. That will be a lot harder when we start S3 since that becomes episodic, bur we'll sure try! PVILLE: I hated Stewart. ES: No, you hated Harry (ditto to you, Tim!) The actor, Will Stewart, did a great job making us hate him! ---------- PVILLE: Leo is back. So glad here Leo doesn't sleep with Piper since you skipped Wicca Envy. But no way Piper would after Mark. But here neither are really together Piper and Leo or yet. ES: That's one of many reasons why we skipped Wicca Envy - a lot of it is we thought Rex's astral projection power should've been saved for the Source - just much too powerful! But it's a lot of the reason why we had Piper fall for Mark. PVILLE: Love this scene where Darryl knows. Really liking what you've done with Peyton. No doubt she'd think they are nuts. ES: Hehehehe! It was such fun letting one of the cops know what was going on, even if the other didn't! And we loved it being the one that the sisters knew as kids be the one who knows. Andy SOOO should've known by this point! PVILLE: I love when she catches him. ES: Me, too. There were so many Phoebe/Leo moments that I totally love! The Saturday group is letting Andy come back as whitelighter in S2 but he's always more big brother than someone's boyfriend (He may eventually become Peyton's boyfriend - they like the idea of their half-demon ending up with their angel!) and it works out SOOO nicely! ------------ PVILLE: Aww Piper her poor love Mark died. ES: Yup, and we love that unlike the canon Charmed One who seemed to forget about their loves shortly after they leave our Piper has not forgotten Mark! PVILLE: Love how well you guys let Darryl know but still keep the not knowing parts to Peyton. ES: Hehehehe! PVILLE: This is so good. Different than canon but better. ES: YAY!! Glad you think so! It's what we SO wish Canon Prue had told Canon Max! PVILLE: I forgot about this scene. So funny. ES: One of my all-time favorite scenes! I think it's when Phoebs was cemented as my favorite sister and when Leo was cemented as my favorite male character. Of course, that ended when Phoebs turned into PhoeME and Leo turned into the Charmed Ones' magical doctor/taxi cab! You KNOW neither will happen in our version! PVILLE: AMAZING. These changes are just so good. Well done. ES: Again, SOOOO very glad you think so! PVILLE: I always loved the Leo healing Gordon parts. ES: Me, too. And I love Prue going with them to Paulette's grave! PVILLE: Love that ending and I see Piper is included as she left the scene in canon to make tea. ES: We could NOT figure out why they did that! So we *had* to include her, too!

PVILLE: One of my favorites, really excited for this one. ES: Oh, it sure wasn't my favorite the first time I saw it - scared the CRAP out of me, and I HATE being scared! But I absolutely love it now. And, of course this is what we were working towards with all the times we didn't have Prue tell her sisters she love them! PVILLE: This was a pretty scary scene. R.I.P Billy Drago, he was great in the role, I wished he was part of just one episode. ES: Amen! We loved the Demon of Fear MUCH, MUCH more than Barbas! He's one of many reasons why we decided not to give any of our demons a name. After all, none of the Angels did, so why should the Demons? PVILLE: I loved the subplots in this one. ES: Me, too. And I love how they all fit so nicely together. PVILE: Here Darryl knows, while Peyton still doesn't, so nice when I hated how Andy was still in the dark here. ES: Oh, you and me, both! I hated how they tried to make him the bad guy! PVILLE: Close call, Phoebe. ES: Yup. She came close to doing that a number of times in a number of episodes! PVILLE: I love all the Prue/Phoebe scenes. Shannen really got the best material to work with Prue's personal character development episodes. ES: She really did, and she did such a great job with them. I loved how the big sister ended up learning from her baby sister! PVILLE: ES: So one of my favorite scenes! I loved Prue being that vulnerable after how stuffy she was at the beginning with the stick-up-her-ass! This episode is the start of the only period when I loved all three canon sisters. When Piper started treating both Leo and Dan so horribly, that's when that period ended. PVILLE: This shocked me so much when first watching, really a terrifying moment. ES: Oh, you and me both! I was terrified for both of them! PVILLE: Loved this part, made me cry the fist time. I'm sure for you guys, this is Finola's voice. ES: OOOPS! Great catch! I totally forgot to credit Finola - because you're right; she' the one we wanted doing that voice. I fixed it now. We thought the voice sounded like the demon in the mirror. We wonder if originally they planned on having Tyler Lawton (who played Melinda Warren) was supposed to, but then she decided to go back to the stage. We also wonder if that's why they decided to give Patty a name, rather than always just calling her Mom, they way they always called Penny Grams. I still find it amazing that in the iconic Christmas video, it's ALYSSA MILANO playing MOM! But we definitely prefer Patty seen and not just heard, and definitely prefer her played by Finola! PVILLE: I loved this part. Still gets to me. ES: Ditto. Especially knowing that Prue herself will die in just a couple years. Will something like that happen in our version? I guess you'll have to just keep reading to find out! PVILLE: And another good ending from canon, why change anything. ES: Yup. That one, we simply had to let Prue have it to herself. It's what I was talking about before - one of those endings that you had to leave alone! By the end of S2, each sister gets her chance... ES: Nope, he definitely won't be back for another 1300 years! As for Ms. Hellfire...I think you answered your own question!

CarinaphoebevilleDeidre WarrenES: And here's what would've been this Sunday's episode. We really did want 'From Fear to Eternity' to be Episode 13, like it was canon, but it just refused to fit our storyline. So this one gets that instead, and you've got to admit - it's pretty scary! Of course since Jocelyn Seagrave is playing Peyton in our version, we decided against her playing Ashley Fallon, the Wendigo. We'll be curious to see what you think of who we put into the role - which we could do because we skipped the part of an episode she was in... ES: In case you don't recognize Sherrie Rose, she played Andy's ex-wife, Susan. And, of course, since Andy isn't part of our version while Darryl is still happily married to Sheila, an ex-wife isn't part of ours either, making Sherrie available to play Jocelyn's original role.

You made a good decision in your choice of recasting Ashley. As you said, it couldn't be Jocelyn Seagrave in this reality (unless Peyton had a twin that no one knew about).

But I absolutely love it now. And, of course this is what we were working towards with all the times we didn't have Prue tell her sisters she love them! PVILLE: I'm so glad you can enjoy it now. Definitely not an episode for those who hate being scared. But with me, I always watch something that scares me early in the evening, or even in the afternoon on a Sunday. I just know, I get nightmares if I watch something that scares me after, or close to bedtime. I'm so glad, that is what you were working towards with Prue not telling her sisters she loves them. I love it so much. PVILLE: So very happy to hear it. I hope you'll continue to let Warlocks play a big part of the series. When I first watched Charmed, that is what I thought would happen, that Warlocks were the true counterparts to witches, and demons were minor in the grand scheme of Charmed. If only Cole was a warlock, and the Source turned out to be the leader of the warlocks. Especially since we've had warlocks like Matthew Tate turning out to be so powerful. To some fans, demons are more appealing, which I disagree. I really was very disappointed when the series, didn't go a deeper mythology with the witches and warlocks. I also wished the Evil Charmed Ones was a whole story-arc, and that maybe Matthew Tate was the start of the warlock line that start the evil Charmed Ones or Cursed Ones family line. I'd find that much more interesting than battling the Source. PVILLE: I loved the subplots in this one. ES: Me, too. And I love how they all fit so nicely together. PVILLE: And I did feel much like Piper. Because, I can say, one year, I seriously did have a bad luck Friday the 13th. My car wasn't working in the morning and I had to get someone over to fix the issue, and then overnight one of my roses, had completely broke off. So I do get people having that fear. But as for the all relationships are doomed on Friday the 13th, I don't believe that part. PVILE: Here Darryl knows, while Peyton still doesn't, so nice when I hated how Andy was still in the dark here. ES: Oh, you and me, both! I hated how they tried to make him the bad guy! PVILLE: Me too Es. PVILLE: Close call, Phoebe. ES: Yup. She came close to doing that a number of times in a number of episodes! PVILLE: I love that it happens often, more fun wondering if they'll be caught out. PVILLE: I love all the Prue/Phoebe scenes. Shannen really got the best material to work with Prue's personal character development episodes. ES: She really did, and she did such a great job with them. I loved how the big sister ended up learning from her baby sister! PVILLE: Me too, I love when that happens. Shannen does make me cry in her performances. I can't say any of them did that in the later seasons, Alyssa and Holly did in the earlier seasons though, I just found they were bored half the time. I always think a series shouldn't last too long. 3-4 seasons, or 5 tops is a good run. Because actors over time, just start to lose interest, and get bored, and when they have done so much already, it is hard to really top a performance, if a series lasts so long. PVILLE: Mine too. I love seeing a vulnerable side to her, and love when Shannen makes me cry. I like to feel for my characters. So that period would end in 'Heartbreak City' with the sisters walking away arm and arm with their men behind going to get coffee. What a cool way to end the period, when all three are with non-magical boyfriends. So nice to talk about what we do like on Charmed isn't it. I know part of why I have to admit Es, I lost interest in your Cafe, so many of the discussions PVILLE: This shocked me so much when first watching, really a terrifying moment. ES: Oh, you and me both! I was terrified for both of them! PVILLE: PVILLE: Loved this part, made me cry the fist time. I'm sure for you guys, this is Finola's voice. ES: OOOPS! Great catch! I still find it amazing that in the iconic Christmas video, it's ALYSSA MILANO playing MOM! But we definitely prefer Patty seen and not just heard, and definitely prefer her played by Finola! PVILLE: I'm glad I was able to spot it, so you could correct it. I never would have guessed, but you might be right, it might really be that actress. That could be what they had planned. And Alyssa playing mom in the iconic video makes me wonder if they wanted Phoebe to look more like Patty from the start. It makes me hate P3 H20, since I'm led to believe they intended Phoebe to look more like Patty not Piper. You can so tell this when watching 70s Episode when they are together. But, I'm glad you guys preferred Patty played by Finola, like I do. PVILLE: I loved this part. Still gets to me. ES: Ditto. Especially knowing that Prue herself will die in just a couple years. Will something like that happen in our version? I guess you'll have to just keep reading to find out! PVILLE: Yeah, it does when you think about that. Funny, that I don't think too much of Prue dying when I re-watch S1-S3, I try hard not to let what comes after affect my viewing, but it is hard, as I can't not think. I wished I could wipe my memory clear of what comes after whenever I re-watch Charmed, and only retain memory of what comes before. PVILLE: And another good ending from canon, why change anything. ES: Yup. That one, we simply had to let Prue have it to herself. It's what I was talking about before - one of those endings that you had to leave alone! By the end of S2, each sister gets her chance... PVILLE: Sounds like a trend. PVILLE: I'm so glad you guys are doing that. Carina phoebeville Deidre Warren ES: And here's what would've been this Sunday's episode.
PVILLE: Appreciate you giving us the backstory on this. PVILLE: Another one I was scared for Piper when first watching. PVILLE: Poor Billy, losing an innocent. Another one Piper lost. I'm surprised he wasn't brought back in S7, as one of the innocents lost. PVILLE: Love Peyton and Darryl together, as canon often had Darryl not in the episodes. So glad, you guys kept using them both together. Because, I love Peyton playing canon Andy so much, and Darryl knowing. PVILLE: I loved this subplot. PVILLE: I love Sheila sending Darryl with food. So sweet. Love My Morries in this series. PVILLE: PVILLE: I love that it is Peyton coming to the door here. I gotta say, that whole scene with Piper attacked Andy and it was a dream in canon scared me. PVILLE: This scene always makes me cry. PVILLE: I forgot to mention, how much I loved it was a female Wendigo not a male. It was so much fun to have a female villain. I wished the show did that more. I loved the parts with Holly's performance as a Wendigo. I might be one of the few you loved it much more than her playing the Fury. She just felt much better here. I will give Holly props for her playing Piper crying over Prue. But, still I like her as the Wendigo more. PVILLE: It was hard for me to keep track of who is who when I first watched. I happen to like this episode to be honest, It is underrated. PVILLE: I love the differences here, with how Peyton reacted, and love Darryl here keeping the secret. PVILLE: I really did like Phoebe working with Prue, too bad it wasn't for a few more episodes.
PVILLE: I love this ending, one I rate high. PVILLE: So that is who she was, I didn't know she was Andy's ex, or rather don't remember the actress, I just assumed she was a random pick from some other Spelling show, but I really think you did a great job using her, since Andy's exi isn't in this or Andy in yours. I like that you are going to use actors in episodes or roles you skip. You did so well casting Whispers too.

As long as you stay away from Crystal Lake, you're fine
Piper was almost in tears. Of course, that was when they actually cared about Innocents being lost.

Carina phoebeville Deidre Warren ES: And here's what would've been this Sunday's episode. PVILLE: Appreciate you giving us the backstory on this. ES: PVILLE: Another one I was scared for Piper when first watching. ES: Oh, to put it mildly! I was TERRIFIED for her - especially afraid she'd do something she'd always regret. At least she didn't do that - just hurt some feelings. PVILLE: Poor Billy, losing an innocent. Another one Piper lost. I'm surprised he wasn't brought back in S7, as one of the innocents lost. ES: Well, then Kern would've had to admit that there was actually a set of Charmed Ones before his...and now he couldn't do that, could he? PVILLE: Love Peyton and Darryl together, as canon often had Darryl not in the episodes. So glad, you guys kept using them both together. Because, I love Peyton playing canon Andy so much, and Darryl knowing. ES: A lot of that was because of the romance they had going between Prue and Andy. Since we nixed that romance, we didn't have to worry about it. PVILLE: I loved this subplot. ES: Me, too! Especially with how scary the A-plot was, they really needed something like this to balance it out. And I always loved when Phoebe's premonitions worked to help innocents. PVILLE: I love Sheila sending Darryl with food. So sweet. Love My Morries in this series. ES: So very glad you do. We definitely had fun with them! PVILLE: ES: Oops! Looks like something's missing here... PVILLE: I love that it is Peyton coming to the door here. I gotta say, that whole scene with Piper attacked Andy and it was a dream in canon scared me. ES: Oh, man! I quite literally screamed and then was SO relieved to find out it was a dream. But that set both Piper and us up to be terrified when we saw it happening to her. PVILLE: This scene always makes me cry. ES: Me, too. One of my favorite subplots. PVILLE: I forgot to mention, how much I loved it was a female Wendigo not a male. It was so much fun to have a female villain. I wished the show did that more. ES: We did, too. Of course, we didn't go overboard like we did in EC (although that was GREAT fun!), but especially when a canon villain was female, we had to keep it that way. -------------- PVILLE: I loved the parts with Holly's performance as a Wendigo. I might be one of the few you loved it much more than her playing the Fury. She just felt much better here. I will give Holly props for her playing Piper crying over Prue. But, still I like her as the Wendigo more. ES: I think I also preferred her performance as the Wendigo over the Fury, because I don't count her Fury performance as a performance - it was Holly letting go of her feelings of them firing her best friend, who also go her her job. PVILLE: It was hard for me to keep track of who is who when I first watched. I happen to like this episode to be honest, It is underrated. ES: You and me both! I'm still not really sure which sister saw Piper and which one didn't! PVILLE: I love the differences here, with how Peyton reacted, and love Darryl here keeping the secret. ES: We had so much fun letting Darryl in on the secret while Peyton was still in the dark, partially because like Canon Darryl, she refused to believe it. PVILLE: I really did like Phoebe working with Prue, too bad it wasn't for a few more episodes. ES: Oh, we thought so, too. We wish they'd done this later in the series when Phoebe had a better control - which is what we really wished...that she'd have that control. PVILLE: I love this ending, one I rate high. ES: Me, too. --------------- ES: In case you don't recognize Sherrie Rose, she played Andy's ex-wife, Susan. And, of course, since Andy isn't part of our version while Darryl is still happily married to Sheila, an ex-wife isn't part of ours either, making Sherrie available to play Jocelyn's original role. ES: Thank you!!

Carina Deidre Warren PVILLE: One of my favorites, really excited for this one. ES: Oh, it sure wasn't my favorite the first time I saw it - scared the CRAP out of me, and I HATE being scared! But I absolutely love it now. And, of course this is what we were working towards with all the times we didn't have Prue tell her sisters she love them! ES: PVILLE: This was a pretty scary scene. ES: Well, that was one of the episodes we skipped this time around - so something like that MIGHT happen later in the series... ES: Definitely not! Actually Friday the 13ths have been pretty lucky for me, so for sure I don't believe any of that. PVILE: Here Darryl knows, while Peyton still doesn't, so nice when I hated how Andy was still in the dark here. ES: Oh, you and me, both! I hated how they tried to make him the bad guy! PVILLE: Me too Es. ES: PVILLE: Close call, Phoebe. ES: Yup. She came close to doing that a number of times in a number of episodes! PVILLE: I love that it happens often, more fun wondering if they'll be caught out. ES: Remembering what happened in 'Morality Bites', I'm glad they were never caught! ES: Definitely. We've been discussing how long we want CCDOW to last. We have ideas for at least 4, although because there are so many S3-4 episodes that we don't like (the change from Phoebs to PhoeME being chief among them), we might end up combining the two seasons (we really want to include some of the stuff from S3 AND S4...done differently, of course, since we won't have any halves!) into a single final season. We'll have to wait and see what we think when we do our S3 re-watch, starting this fall. PVILLE: ES: So one of my favorite scenes! I loved Prue being that vulnerable after how stuffy she was at the beginning with the stick-up-her-ass! PVILLE: Mine too. I love seeing a vulnerable side to her, and love when Shannen makes me cry. I like to feel for my characters. ES: You feel for them, then you care about what happens to them. I never felt for the second set the way I felt for the first. You can tell the first set was based on real set of sisters while the second wasn't. ------------ ES: This episode is the start of the only period when I loved all three canon sisters. When Piper started treating both Leo and Dan so horribly, that's when that period ended. PVILLE: So that period would end in 'Heartbreak City' with the sisters walking away arm and arm with their men behind going to get coffee. What a cool way to end the period, when all three are with non-magical boyfriends. ES: Hmmm...hadn't thought of it that way, but you're definitely right. -------------- PVILLE: So nice to talk about what we do like on Charmed isn't it. I know part of why I have to admit Es, I lost interest in your Cafe, so many of the discussions . ES: Hehehehehe, there's something ironic about that! At one point the most negative member, Codebox, asked what we thought about his analyses. So I was honest and told him that I hated that it made me hate 'The Perils of Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper' aka "PhoeME and Her Fantasy Men' aka 'Two Witches Plus One Living Whitelighter Equals The Power of Three?' even more than I already did, and wish that he analyze what he LIKES about Charmed so I could love it more than I already do. Some other Team Charmed Cafe members took up the idea and bumped up a bunch of positive threads. The shock is Codebox posted two posts, both very positive - one that brought me to tears, it was so beautiful! So you might want to give the Cafe another chance! PVILLE: This shocked me so much when first watching, really a terrifying moment. ES: Oh, you and me both! I was terrified for both of them! PVILLE: PVILLE: Loved this part, made me cry the fist time. I'm sure for you guys, this is Finola's voice. ES: OOOPS! Great catch! I totally forgot to credit Finola - because you're right; she's the one we wanted doing that voice. I fixed it now. We thought the voice sounded like the demon in the mirror. We wonder if originally they planned on having Tyler Lawton (who played Melinda Warren) do it, but then she decided to go back to the stage. PVILLE: I'm glad I was able to spot it, so you could correct it. I never would have guessed, but you might be right, it might really be that actress. That could be what they had planned. ES: PVILLE: And Alyssa playing mom in the iconic video makes me wonder if they wanted Phoebe to look more like Patty from the start. It makes me hate P3 H20, since I'm led to believe they intended Phoebe to look more like Patty not Piper. You can so tell this when watching 70s Episode when they are together. ES: I really don't think so - I think they never planned on showing Mom's face. But Sheryl J. Anderson changed that with 'That 70s Episode' and I'm SO glad she did! --------------- But, I'm glad you guys preferred Patty played by Finola, like I do. ES: PVILLE: I loved this part. ES: You are SO lucky that you can watch these episodes without thinking about what's to come. Most of the CCDOWers are that way, but I'm not. I REALLY wish I was! ES: Hehehehehe! Yup! A trend I hope you'll like. ES: Nope, he definitely won't be back for another 1300 years! As for Ms. Hellfire...I think you answered your own question! PVILLE: YAY!!! ES:

I think you can remove Deirdre's name, Esmeralda. We've just had Canada Day and the 4th Of July, and she has yet to return from Christmas vacation.
If she ever reappears, you can put her name back.
Anyhoo....
As for the episode, it's pretty good. It pretty much follows the canon version up to the part where the sisters have the guests over. Of course, Darryl and Sheila were not there in the canon episode.
The Professor never comes under the Woogy's control in this version.
A noticeable absence is that of Josh (the Professor's assistant). Of course, he was only there to fill a seat in Piper's romance story until Leo returned. Since Piper's romance storyline is following a different path in CCDOW, the character of Josh had no role to play.
Andy's part is divided up between Darryl and Peyton. Darryl gets taken over, while Peyton is the one to who visits the Manor, allowing Prue and Piper to gain entry.
I'm guessing that, like the Demon Of Feat, this is the first and last time the Woogy will be seen in CCDOW.

Esmeralda" Carina phoebeville Deidre Warren And here you go! Tonight's episode: PVILLE: Now this was a freaky episode. PVILLE: I forgot the shadow spoke, I really didn't think it did, and that often slips my mind. PVILE: PVILLE: I notice no Josh. But love the addition of Sheila and Darryl coming to the dinner party. PVILLE: PVILLE: LOVE IT! What a wonderful addition, that just adds to the story. Perfect! PVILLE: Did that part really leave me shocked, what a good spot for a cliffhanger. Especially, that they were sitting on the front lawn freaked out all night long until the paper came. PVILLE: I like this better, with the Professor telling them, not Josh. PVILLE: My poor Sheila. I really feel for her here. PVILE: I do love how female-centric this episode is. Helps when you have more female supporting characters. PVILLE: Being locked in the house, I sure got scared when I watched this one first time. PVILE: I love this moment. A favorite of mine. Acting and instrumental music choice. Don't know why but the music they used in those earlier seasons, really made the scenes feel more how should I put it..magical. They had this magical jingle to them.. PVILLE: plead shadowed. LOL PVILLE: Again, another one of my favorite scenes. Might be among one of the episode endings, or for sure in my top 3. We'll this one was so much fun to read.

Josh was just there to fill space until Leo returned.
Removing him from the equation changed nothing major, IMO.

Carina phoebeville Deidre Warren PVILLE: Now this was a freaky episode. ES: That it DEFINITELY was! Scared the living crap out of me the first time I watched it! But, oh, I admired the acting - the actresses SO totally rocked it, ESPECIALLY Alyssa - her best job at playing evil -- MUCH more than as the Queen of the Underworld which was done more as comedy than horror. PVILLE: I forgot the shadow spoke, I really didn't think it did, and that often slips my mind. ES: Oh, yes, he'd speak to whoever went into the basement, something missed from S7. But then they called the Shadow the Nexus. This episode proves how badly Kern screwed THAT up! PVILE: ES: Is something going goofy with ProBoards? I keep finding responses with no smiley... PVILLE: I notice no Josh. But love the addition of Sheila and Darryl coming to the dinner party. ES: Nope, for the same reason why Piper and Leo didn't become a couple - she's still mourning her loss of Mark. PVILLE: PVILLE: LOVE IT! What a wonderful addition, that just adds to the story. Perfect! ES: YAY!! Especially since we have Darryl as the sisters' childhood neighbor, we loved the idea of him remembering Phoebe's fear of the basement. PVILLE: Did that part really leave me shocked, what a good spot for a cliffhanger. Especially, that they were sitting on the front lawn freaked out all night long until the paper came. ES: And that's another time when the Shadow spoke... PVILLE: I like this better, with the Professor telling them, not Josh. ES: Us, too. Just like we prefer Darryl being possessed rather than the Professor. PVILLE: My poor Sheila. I really feel for her here. ES: So glad you're feeling for her! I sure didn't in S6 and S7! PVILE: I do love how female-centric this episode is. Helps when you have more female supporting characters. ES: Yup. One of the main reasons why we've done this the way we did. PVILLE: Being locked in the house, I sure got scared when I watched this one first time. ES: You and me both!! PVILE: I love this moment. A favorite of mine. Acting and instrumental music choice. Don't know why but the music they used in those earlier seasons, really made the scenes feel more how should I put it..magical. They had this magical jingle to them.. ES: We've said the same thing during our re-watches - ESPECIALLY in S1! And the music for the ending credits are SO great compared to the other seasons. We were VERY disappointed when this season ended! We like S2, especially how we changed it, but not as much as we loved S1! PVILLE: plead shadowed. LOL ES: Hehehehe! One of my favorite lines! PVILLE: Again, another one of my favorite scenes. Might be among one of the episode endings, or for sure in my top 3. ES: We did a poll at the Cafe for favorite S1 endings and this one ranked VERY high! PVILLE: Well, this one was so much fun to read. ES: SO very glad you liked it!! We had a LOT of fun rewriting it!

ES: And here's tonight's episode...amazing that there's only SIX S1 episodes left! Unfortunately I can't give you guys S2 yet because we still have some episodes that don't have press releases yet, especially because our S3 finale will NOT be 'Beware What You Witch For' (we all hate that one) and will instead be a combination of a couple of S3 episodes (No, not 'The Honeymoon is Over') So until we re-watch those in October, we won't be doing the press releases. There are also a couple of other episodes that we want to be S2 ones in order to make our 22-episode season but that haven't been written yet. So enjoy these last episodes while you can!! Hey, phoebeville, that break should give you enough time to finish EC! Okay, here's that episode: CarinaDeidre Warren
