Speaking of this special, I was talking about while replying to EC, I found it on Youtube. OMG!!! I've wanted to see this again for years. NOTE FOR Esmeralda and Pheebs : If you'd like to share it with the Charmed Cafe, go ahead. Maybe you guys could watch it as part of your Charmed re-watch sometime, and anyone else here, who is part of another forum can do the same.

I think I saw this when it originally aired, way back in the day.
Look how happy all the stars are. Of course, this was in 2000, before everything went to hell.

Thanks for sharing. I don't think I've seen this in nearly 20 years.
But this was before it all turned to hell in Season 3. So watching it will be great when Connie was still here and all three got along great.

Yep, they all sound so happy for the future of the show.
They have no idea of the out of control train barreling right towards then (drive by Kernus).

I love this video, thanks for sharing. What a fun re-watch that would be. Watching this when the show was at its peak and best, and everyone got along.
I believe this was filmed when they were shooting 'Give Me a Sign' since they are wearing the clothes they had in that episode in this clip.

And I believe the last episode Connie played a part in was 'Astral Monkey'. But when this special was filmed during Give Me a Sign, it was when the Source was first mentioned by name I believe. I bet Kern was already plotting his takeover and building demon mythology. But The Source was mentioned as someone without a name in Season 1. The Elders have always been known as they or them, not Elders. I assume Kern took over and changed all that. But still, I'm re-watching Season 2, and outside of the love triangle, I do like the season, just not Piper and how she treats Leo and Dan. But Prue and Phoebe are still wonderful. I'm hoping to go back and continue watching more, but get distracted by other things, that it might end up being an episode or two a week.

Some feel that, considering what happened later, that Charmed might have been better off had it been cancelled after Season One.
It might be remembered fondly like other short lived shows like My So Called Life and Freaks And Geeks.
Remember when she treated him like the man she loved, and not like a personal slave. I hated her shrill voice calling out "LEO!" in the later seasons, the poor guy could do no right.
As to how Kernus took over. Apparently, Connie was against Cole being brought in. She wanted to keep the focus on the sisters (based on her own sisters). However, Kernus then went running to his sugar daddy, Aaron Spelling, and you know the rest. Connie was out, Kernus was in.
While Connie stayed on for another two years, she was a "Creative Consultant". Basically, that means this: You may make suggestions that we may listen to, but you no longer have any control over the show.
Connie had her own show stolen right out from under her by Kernus and Spelling. Perhaps that's why she wasn't interviewed in those books I mentioned, too many painful memories.

I know Piper is popular, but I never understood, how people could love the couple, with how Piper treated Leo, later in the series. I wished it did remain on the sisters. Yeah, I bet they didn't listen to her ideas, and if they did, they took a good idea, and found a way to make it worse. Too many painful memories, and I can only imagine how her two sisters felt. They must have felt so bad for their little sister. I really wished we got an interview with Connie, in some form. But, that will never be. But how many did she do back in the day, I wonder? Maybe just during the early seasons before S3.

I would love to see an interview with Connie and hear her side of things.

Me too, any interview, so I can just even hear her say anything about the show, would be fantastic.

I would love to get the full as to what exactly happened.
Of course, Kernus got his comeuppance when MeToo exposed him for the monster he truly is.
