CARINA SAID: I agree, you don't want to overcrowd it with guest stars from the original. PHEEBS SAID: I agree, otherwise it will turn into more about the guest stars and less about our EC stars. ES SAID: Exactly! That's why although we originally did cast all six of the main stars (Shannen, Holly, Phoebe, Rose, Brian and Julian), when we decided to "uncast" our series and turn them into TBC1, TBC2, TBC3, TBC4, TBC5 and TBC6, we also decided to just let Shannen and Alyssa guest star and not name any of the others - letting readers decide when/if the others star. Although I did end up doing my own fantasy version (and suggested others do the same) where I *did* have fun casting it, including letting Jennifer play Prudence, Fionla play Patience, Alyssa play Paige, and the two young stars who played Young Prue and Little Piper play Piper and Phoebe. That was a lot of fun! CARNA SAID: I think you made the right call doing that, so readers can decide who can star. That sounds so cool you decided to do your own. I assume here, Holly and Shannen played the Warrens from the past, and Rose played a villain. ES SAID: I think I'll wait until you're done reading (if you end up deciding to read the whole thing) before I introduce you to my own cast, but, yes, I think I pretty much hit everyone - Shannen, Holly, Rose, Dorian, Julian, Drew, Wes, even Kaley, along with a lot of the guest stars. My major difference is rather than 4 1/2 seasons for 100 episodes, I did mine as 2 1/2 for 52 episodes, since that's how many we had at the time I wrote it. I even had fun deciding which author(s) wrote which episodes! CARINA SAID: That is so much fun, I even love you deciding who wrote which episode, that sounds like my kind of fun. ------------------------------------ ES SAID: Actually since my Season One is the same as Team Charmed Cafe's version (the one you're reading), I'm going to do the first quarter for you (as you can tell, I didn't cast everyone, just those who were actually given a name in the press release): Of course in this first season, our main stars WERE our stars, trying not to have too many guest stars, but it should give you and idea of what I did and how much fun I had. CARINA SAID: I loved seeing this, and I loved how you assigned the episodes with writers. ------------ CARINA SAID: You make me want to try my own fantasy version, but a different kind of one, where it focuses on Penny, Patty, Prue, Piper, and Phoebe from Charmed, but if you all give me permission (I'd probably not share it publicly), as wondering if it is possible to do one based on Charmed, with five Halliwells but finding a way to combine Charmed with Elemental Charmed's setting in Salem. So it would be set in 1998. I've become such a fan of Elemental Charmed, that, a part of me, might not do it, I love the EC series too much, that I might do something else. That only if I had permission, otherwise, I'll never mention this again. ES SAID: OH! If you love it enough that you want to do your own version, I'm sure the rest of Team Charmed Cafe won't mind at all - they'd probably love it! I'll ask them when we start re-watching Season Two. In fact, just to give you a different idea, I think I'll post the start of the series we're working on while re-watching that - we re-watch the episode and then use it to inspire our own version: Classic Charmed, Done Our Way (CCDOW for short). That might REALLY inspire you to do your own! CARINA SAID: Thank you Es for asking them. I'd love to see you share this, as it might inspire my own. ----------------------- ES SAID: We have two groups going since different members can only join the re-watch on certain days. The Saturday group is having fun combining the episodes with later-season episodes while also introducing a new Halliwell - Peyton Fallon, played by Jocelyn Seagrave (she played the Wendigo...) who is taking Paige's place, but rather than half-whitelighter, she's half-demon... The Sunday group is having fun keeping closer to canon, but fixing the things we didn't like. I'm part of that group, although I'm also editor for Saturday's. We also have Peyton, but rather than a half-demon, she's pure human like the sisters and has no powers. Instead she's taking Darryl's place while Darryl is taking Andy's place. We've had SO much fun with keeping the show female-centric! CARINA SAID: That sounds so much fun. WOW! You really had so much fun. I really like that both groups appear to have something different going. ----------------------- ES SAID: I'm only going to post our series premiere since we have our Season One the way we want it (easy for us since we stuck to canon) while Saturday still has a ton of inconsistencies which they want to fix before sharing it with others. CARINA SAID: Good idea, since you still are working on fixing those inconsistencies, and you don't want to be Charmed, that was full of them. ----------------------- CARINA SAID: If not, I'd do a different fantasy version series which stars the Halliwell family in San Francisco, and follows the Charmed series, and just find a way to use Patty and Penny for a Power of Five. ES SAID: Well, since it would be all yours, you could go ahead and have Penny and Patty (always put the oldest first...) also be sisters so you could have your Power of Five. We never have a Power of Five in EC, just Power of the Elementals, so they don't have to be sisters like classic Charmed. Although, of course, since it's your series, you can do whatever you want, and if you want to say that a grandmother, mother and three daughters can make up the Power of Five - GO FOR IT! CARINA SAID: Thanks, I'll remember to put the oldest first. Thanks for the support. ------------ CARINA SAID: Not sure how I'd spread the powers around, the fourth and fifth gifts would probably be Astral Projection and or orbing and the other maybe Empathy. And all the Halliwells always have one power, no additional ones. ES SAID: YAY!!! Glad you agree with that - one power only is MORE than enough! CARINA SAID: Exactly, more than enough for sure. I didn't like how Charmed gave them so many. When I was happy with three. And I want the same in my series. ---------- CARINA SAID: My Halliwell jobs would probably be letting Prue stay at Bucklands, Piper stay at Quake, Phoebe not working and then college. Penny maybe retired or has a job and close to retiring, and Patty works as a social worker and or detective replacing Andy or Darryl. ES SAID: All of those sound perfect! Don't know if you'd include whitelighters. If not, you'd probably want Penny to be a retired doctor like we have her. Speaking of, nothing says you can't switch around the powers and do like we did with EC, letting Penny have premonitions, Patty move things with her mind, Prue transport herself or people, Piper throw fireballs (they're not always evil!) and Phoebe freeze things. CARINA SAID: Your right about letting Penny be a retired doctor, that might work perfect, and the fun is canon Charmed never made it clear what Penny's job is, but it is my series, and I can do it as I want. That suggestion is very good. I actually like Penny having premonitions, because I don't know if I'd want someone her age running away using powers to move things with her mind, and I like how you had Prudence use premonitions in EC. We'll see how I go. ------------ CARINA SAID: I'd probably kill off one Halliwell star at the end of Season Three, so Paige could join and replace someone. I might even make Phoebe be the half sister and not be Victors daughter, if I stick with not replacing a Halliwell, if I don't use Paige. ES SAID: Hehehehe, sounds like our plans for Peyton, our new character, but I don't want to so spoil what's coming, so I'll leave it at that as a teaser. CARINA SAID: I can't wait to find out what it is, but a teaser is great. --------------- CARINA SAID: But I still don't know if this could work. ES SAID: Oh, I definitely think it could. CARINA SAID: Thank you. ---------------- CARINIA SAID: I'd call my series The Power of Five or House of Halliwells not Charmed. ES SAID: And since you're doing it as your own series and not a reboot of Charmed, you most definitely could. I really hope you do it!! CARINA SAID: I'd probably do it as a press release, I really don't think I'll finish the thing, if I did it as a script or fanfic story. CARINA SAID: Another Witch Culture, that sounds so much like something The CW would want on their show. ES SAID: Yup, it does, which is probably why Marlene wanted to do it. Although she also wanted them to be as much stars as the Warrens and, of course, we couldn't let her do that. I suggested she do a spin-off, starring these witches, but she never did. But that's part of why we decided to do our TBC1, TBC2, etc., routing. CARINA SAID: I'm glad you did that. CARINA SAID: I hope they rescue those children. ES SAID: CARINA SAID: ES SAID: CARINA SAID: Go save them Warrens. ES SAID: (I hope you know these smiles mean I love your comment!) CARINA SAID: Hurry, I hope they get saved and get reunited with their family. ES SAID: And, of course, they would. But again the fun of press releases - we don't have to figure things out! Although as you'll see, for CCDOW we did it differently since Charmed showed us how to fix it! CARINA SAID: This one sounds interesting. I also love another wonderful plot for a Warren and their job, good work Piper. But of course, just as they toast, a premonition gives them trouble. ES SAID: Naturally. We can't have things go smoothly - no drama in that! CARINA SAID: OMG! This is so shocking, and scary. ES SAID: This is one of my own favorite episodes! CARINA SAID: Oh no! ES SAID: Can't make it TOO easy to rescue them! CARINA SAID: Andrea. WOW! ES SAID CARINA SAID: This is exciting, and I hope Allen is okay, but he might be dead in this world. ES SAID: The fun of an alternate dimension - anything can happen! CARINA SAID: I love that twist with her, I hope they can help out this universe. ES SAID: CARINA SAID: Andrea, WOW, didn't see that coming. But at least I know this isn't our Andrea, she's still alive in her city. ES SAID: Exactly so! CARINA SAID: I hope they can fix this. ES SAID: And, again, of course they do. The fun of press releases! CARINA SAID: Gentle Patience has killed, that tagline sure shocked me. I'm glad she got that honor, but I hate her reputation being ruined. ES SAID: We realized we didn't have an episode where Patience and her job starred. What a way to do it to her, huh? CARINA SAID: ES SAID: Talk about drama, huh? CARINA SAID: Another juicy side plot, and I love we have spring break, nice to get an idea where we are in the story. The lives of the Warrens couldn't be more central to the show. I love when it focuses on a true balance, and not just making them out to be demon warrior hunting and being witches 24/7, I need to know they are real people with real lives. ES SAID: Glad you think so, since that was very important to us. I assume it will be important in your own fantasy version! CARINA SAID: I hope they can save the children. ES SAID: And, of course, they do. If they fail, the press release will definitely include that. CARINA SAID: And of course, Paige can help them out at work. ES SAID: Of course! Don't ALWAYS have to use powers! CARINA SAID: ES SAID: CARINA SAID: What a wonderful episode. ES SAID: YAY! Glad you think so!! CARINA SAID: YAY, Shannen and Alyssa on set. ES SAID: If only... Such fun to have our fantasies come true! CARINA SAID: I so would look at those social media posts. ES SAID: Oh, yes, me, too, definitely! And would LOVE to share them on Charmed sites like this and the Cafe! CARINA SAID: Wonderful! CARINA SAID: Connie, I'm excited too. ES SAID: CARINA SAID: Dying to know who they play. Yes, we sure can hardly wait. ES SAID: Hehehehe! That's why we're keeping it secret! CARINA SAID: And really I'm glad, it builds the excitement, and in this universe, I'm in, I'm dying for joy, and it makes me REALLY want to watch this finale to find out.

And with the way you're flying through it, that shouldn't take you very long. --------------- CARINA SAID: But I still don't know if this could work. ES SAID: Oh, I definitely think it could. CARINA SAID: Thank you. ES SAID: By the way, if you want to borrow some of our plot ideas, the way we borrowed them from Charmed, go for it - just give us credit! ---------------- CARINIA SAID: I'd call my series The Power of Five or House of Halliwells not Charmed. ES SAID: And since you're doing it as your own series and not a reboot of Charmed, you most definitely could. I really hope you do it!! ---------- CARINA SAID: I'd probably do it as a press release, I really don't think I'll finish the thing, if I did it as a script or fanfic story. ES SAID: VERY good idea - it's so much easier to do it this way, or the way we did CCDOW which tells more of the plot since it's based on Classic Charmed. Do whatever works best for you. Or remember, you could do it as a Dream Charmed like mine, where you only summarize each season. That works, too, for the same reason - no need to tell how you get into problems or out of them! ------------------ ES SAID: Since this one is getting long and is all about YOUR fantasy version, I decided to let it have its own post and start a new one for the rest of your reviews. I hope that's okay with you, Carina!

Carina Pheebs CARINA SAID: And again, loving that were in springtime, and we get to know about the Warren garden and herbs. ES SAID: Colton did a good job with this and then Pheebs just made it better! CARINA SAID: Of course, Phoebe stumbles onto something bad. ES SAID: Hehehehe! Can't have something go wrong, can we?? Not if want to keep it dramatic! ----------------- CARINA SAID: This can't be good. ES SAID: Nope! CARINA SAID: Good job Prudence, stopping her in time. ES SAID: Yup, Prudence is one smart witch coz she's gone through a lot in her life! And being a gardener, she recognizes it. CARINA SAID: Oh no, the poor wood nymphs. ES SAID: Yup. Quite a bit different than the nymphs on "Nymphs Just Wanna Have Fun", huh? We really didn't like how they treated them and the rest of the members of the magical community so we were determined to do better. CARINA SAID: I'm smiling with joy, that this was written. I'm so in love with this, what a fun way to let the Elemental Power of Earth be so important, and I love more than she can only hear them, but not see them. CARINA SAID: And of course, I'd want to look at these posts, or hope my Charmed Heritage board members would post these for me to enjoy with a link when they find them. ES SAID: Oh, I'm sure they would, and wouldn't we enjoy them? Although I have a hunch rather that here at Charmed Heritage, we'd probably be sharing them on EC's own site, something I don't think the rip-off has since all of their fans seem to discuss their stuff on social media. I just did a check and there's not a single ProBoards site dedicated to the rip-off. But you know older fans who connect with Prudence, Patience and Paige would want to start a ProBoards site. CARINA SAID: So happy for you ladies. ES SAID: CARINA SAID: Three cheers for EC!!! ES SAID: AMEN!!! CARINA SAID: Can't wait. Only three more episodes to go, I'm so excited. ES SAID: WOW! you're just flying through them!! And lucky you - you don't have to wait through summer before you can start watching S2 - you can do that right away!

PHOEBEVILLE SAID: This is so very cool. I so want to watch this. I love this universe you created. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: And I'm glad it is important the sisterhood. Wasn't in the reboot when I watched the first half of S1, before I gave up. I'm not going back, it lost me. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: I sure hope so, female empowerment is very important. Sometimes I wonder, why it wasn't when Charmed kept going, it felt more like male empowerment, with Leo, Chris and Wyatt. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: Set in Salem, this sounds fun. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: I do like this. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: Yes, very different for the CW, but I like the idea, good to be different for a reboot. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: I like the differences here. And the twist with witches who kill a non-magical become warlocks and warlocks who save an innocent become witches, why didn't the original do that. I like it. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: And I'd check out this pilot myself.

phoebeville PHOEBEVILLE SAID: This is so very cool. I so want to watch this. I love this universe you created. ESMERALDA SAID: We would really have wanted to watch it, too. But we think the fact that we didn't get anything for the anniversary had just as much to do ith The CW wanting all of the attention on the rip-off. That's why this works - the fact that Connie, Sheryl, Paul and Chris & Zach were part of both. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: And I'm glad it is important the sisterhood. Wasn't in the reboot when I watched the first half of S1, before I gave up. I'm not going back, it lost me. ESMERALDA SAID: I'm glad you were able to admit that it just wasn't for you. I'm hoping more fans will think so and it doesn't last past a second season. From what I've read it's even less like Classic Charmed than it was before, so it should turn most Classic Charmed off. Some fans say we Classic Charmed fans HAVE to support the rip-off or we'll have no "Charmed". I say "TOUGH!" I prefer NO-"Charmed" and sticking with what fans come up with like Elemental Charmed over what I've heard about the rip-off. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: I sure hope so, female empowerment is very important. Sometimes I wonder, why it wasn't when Charmed kept going, it felt more like male empowerment, with Leo, Chris and Wyatt. ES SAID: But that WASN'T the case before Connie and some of the writers were kicked out and Kern was totally in charge. Then you're right - it was much more male-centric than it was female-centric. As you can guess it WON'T happen that way in "Elemental Charmed"'! PHOEBEVILLE SAID: Set in Salem, this sounds fun. ES SAID: We sure thought so! PHOEBEVILLE SAID: I do like this. ES SAID: I'm glad! PHOEBEVILLE SAID: Yes, very different for the CW, but I like the idea, good to be different for a reboot. ESMERALDA SAID: We definitely thought so. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: I like the differences here. And the twist with witches who kill a non-magical become warlocks and warlocks who save an innocent become witches, why didn't the original do that. I like it. ESMERALDA SAID: I always thought the S4-8 Charmed Ones turned into warlocks rather than...well, whatever they were. When I suggested these definitions to the others, they loved them, which made me so happy. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: And I'd check out this pilot myself. ES SAID: So would I!

Of course, in the Kernus era, Warlocks virtually disappeared from the show.

CARINA SAID: It is that time, I'm at the last three episodes of Season One. Dying in anticipation, of reading the final three. Picturing myself in my living room in this wonderful universe, putting on my television for ”Don't Go Alone Down the Trail of the Wailing Child” and sitting down. Can't wait, will be a wild ride these last few weeks.
CARINA SAID: I love this episode and title already. Blair Witch legend, awesome. CARINA SAID: I like that they don't believe her, until she says more. CARINA SAID: This got interesting. CARINA SAID: I do love a good ghost story, and this one looks very interesting. CARINA SAID: Thank you Summer Reading, for a very fun episode. CARINA SAID: WOW, this one is what I've been waiting for. I can't wait. Paige's secret, and Bloody Mary. CARINA SAID: TBC3, I'm over the moon with excitement for this one. I can't wait and for the Bloody Mary legend. CARINA SAID: WOW, a cliffhanger. Connie you know how to keep me excited. CARINA SAID: CARINA SAID: They wouldn't know your right. Go save Paige from Bloody Mary. CARINA SAID: What a cliffhanger going into the finale. Pheebs, girl, I loved this one. CARINA SAID: Alyssa and Shannen's role is confirmed, and I couldn't be more happier with who they are playing. To think, episode 3 mentioning Mary Ann Warren would end up being Alyssa 20 episodes later, and that Shannen would play her sister Jenna Warren. Nope, never would have thought this. I love them attending the tour, and them correcting the details of history. CARINA SAID: CARINA SAID: CARINA SAID: Of course, a cliffhanger. Who is it, Jenna or Mary Ann. I could jump to Season Two right now, but I actually want to sit on it, I need to take in all the excitement of Season One, and these amazing last three episodes. At least I don't have to wait until the summer is over to find out, but in this universe, this cliffhanger would have kept me at the edge of my seat all summer long guessing. SEASON ONE GRADE BY CARINA: A+ A wonderful first season, that has brought me so much joy.

Carina Pheebs CARINA SAID: I agree, you don't want to overcrowd it with guest stars from the original. ES SAID: Yay! Glad you think so. It was SUCH fun deciding which episodes fit which authors. CARINA SAID: ------------------------------------ ES SAID: Actually since my Season One is the same as Team Charmed Cafe's version (the one you're reading), I'm going to do the first quarter for you (as you can tell, I didn't cast everyone, just those who were actually given a name in the press release): Of course in this first season, our main stars WERE our stars, trying not to have too many guest stars, but it should give you and idea of what I did and how much fun I had. CARINA SAID: I loved seeing this, and I loved how you assigned the episodes with writers. ES SAID: CARINA SAID: ------------ CARINA SAID: You make me want to try my own fantasy version, but a different kind of one, where it focuses on Penny, Patty, Prue, Piper, and Phoebe from Charmed, but if you all give me permission (I'd probably not share it publicly), as wondering if it is possible to do one based on Charmed, with five Halliwells but finding a way to combine Charmed with Elemental Charmed's setting in Salem. ES SAID: Rather than waiting, I went ahead and quoted you in our Elemental Charmed thread. If I get any responses, I'll be sure to post them for you. CARINA SAID: Thank you Es. I'll hope you get some answers by early next week, if some are busy with weekend activities. ES SAID: We do, too. It's fun to share one group's episodes with the other to see how differently we've done them. CARINA SAID: I'm sure that sounds like so much fun. I'd love to be part of it, but I'm not sure of the time you do them, and I am normally always busy on Saturdays, as you've noticed, not seeing me around much on Saturdays with replying for 24 hours. ES SAID: Well, I'm not working on them - Saturday's group is. But now that we're starting re-watching S2 this weekend, I *do* wonder if they'll go back and fix them. I hope so. CARINA SAID: I hope they can. I'd hope people would want this done soon, I'd be concerned, if this is left unfinished and corrected by November, then that leads into December, and then Christmas. ES SAID: My pleasure! I LOVE reading "What Could Have Been" stories! CARINA SAID: Me too. ES SAID: CARINA SAID: ---------- CARINA SAID: My Halliwell jobs would probably be letting Prue stay at Bucklands, Piper stay at Quake, Phoebe not working and then college. CARINA SAID: You're right about letting Penny be a retired doctor, that might work perfect, and the fun is canon Charmed never made it clear what Penny's job is, but it is my series, and I can do it as I want. ES SAID: You're right - they never did. It's just as likely that Penny WAS a doctor than that she wasn't. So do what feels right for you. CARINA SAID: Thanks, I will. ----------- ES SAID: Speaking of, nothing says you can't switch around the powers and do like we did with EC, letting Penny have premonitions, Patty move things with her mind, Prue transport herself or people, Piper throw fireballs (they're not always evil!) and Phoebe freeze things. CARINA SAID: That suggestion is very good. I actually like Penny having premonitions, because I don't know if I'd want someone her age running away using powers to move things with her mind, and I like how you had Prudence use premonitions in EC. ES SAID: That's exactly why we decided to give her the premonitions - in fact, in another fantasy version we had Prue have premonitions, Piper invisibility and Phoebe telekinesis! CARINA SAID: I'm glad you guys feel the same way, and that fantasy version sounds cool too. I didn't think of invisibility. It is a cool gift, but I don't think I'm creative enough to think of how to make it work for stories with invisibility, but would it come in handy for the user to save a family member/sister by knocking out the bad guy, or spying on someone, or getting inside somewhere to investigate and make the area is safe. ----------- CARINA SAID: We'll see how I go. ES SAID: I can't wait to find out!! CARINA SAID: Me too to do it, and share it. ES SAID: Well, since that will be at the end of S3 (I tried to talk Sunday's group into skipping S2 and jump directly into S3 since I think with our scenario it will be tough to do S2, but they think we can, so we're going to try) it will be a while before we get there, but then I'm glad to see that you don't want to read CCDOW until you're done with EC!! And with the way you're flying through it, that shouldn't take you very long. CARINA SAID: I hope you guys have so much fun with it. I'm glad too, they I won't read CCDOW until I'm done with EC. And I am flying through it alright, so it shouldn't take me very long. I thought, I'd be reading this until Christmas time, I'm now convinced, I might finish this even sooner. Time will tell. CARINA SAID: Absolutely will. ---------------- CARINIA SAID: I'd call my series The Power of Five or House of Halliwells not Charmed. ES SAID: And since you're doing it as your own series and not a reboot of Charmed, you most definitely could. I really hope you do it!! CARINA SAID: ---------- CARINA SAID: I'd probably do it as a press release, I really don't think I'll finish the thing, if I did it as a script or fanfic story. ES SAID: VERY good idea - it's so much easier to do it this way, or the way we did CCDOW which tells more of the plot since it's based on Classic Charmed. Do whatever works best for you. CARINA SAID: Thank you, I will. It sounds so much easier. ---------- ES SAID: Or remember, you could do it as a Dream Charmed like mine, where you only summarize each season. That works, too, for the same reason - no need to tell how you get into problems or out of them! CARINA SAID: That is another idea to do it, I'll keep that in mind. Whatever works for me. ------------------ ES SAID: Since this one is getting long and is all about YOUR fantasy version, I decided to let it have its own post and start a new one for the rest of your reviews. I hope that's okay with you, Carina! CARINA SAID: That is fine by me.

Both Ghost Whisperer and Supernatural did their own takes on this legend.
BTW, I've done the turn around three times, while saying "Bloody Mary" in front of a mirror. As you can see, I lived to tell the tale.

CARINA SAID: It is that time, I'm at the last three episodes of Season One. Dying in anticipation, of reading the final three. So happy, in fact, that I HAD to post it at the Cafe so the rest of Team Charmed Cafe could read it!
CARINA SAID: I love this episode and title already. Blair Witch legend, awesome. ES SAID: But the REAL Blair Witch legend, not the one using on Charmed or in the movie! CARINA SAID: I like that they don't believe her, until she says more. ES SAID: CARINA SAID: This got interesting. ES SAID: Glad you think so! CARINA SAID: I do love a good ghost story, and this one looks very interesting. ES SAID: Especially when PATIENCE gets the vision, not Prudence who gets premonitions! CARINA SAID: Thank you Summer Reading, for a very fun episode. ES SAID: I do hope you decide to join the Cafe some day so you can repeat your reviews so Summer and the other members of Team Charmed Cafe can read them! CARINA SAID: WOW, this one is what I've been waiting for. I can't wait. Paige's secret, and Bloody Mary. ES SAID: YAY! Hope you enjoy it as much as you think you will! CARINA SAID: TBC3, I'm over the moon with excitement for this one. I can't wait and for the Bloody Mary legend. ES SAID: And I LOVE seeing you that excited! CARINA SAID: WOW, a cliffhanger. ES SAID: Yup. Piper and Phoebe have heard certain versions at school, so the older Warrens make sure to correct them! CARINA SAID: ES SAID: CARINA SAID: ES SAID: Would we keep you at the edge of your seat or what?? It sure would me! CARINA SAID: Of course, a cliffhanger. Who is it, Jenna or Mary Ann. ES SAID: You'll have to start reading S1 and find out! ------------- CARINA SAID: I could jump to Season Two right now, but I actually want to sit on it, I need to take in all the excitement of Season One, and these amazing last three episodes. ES SAID: Oh, again you have me in tears, so again I had to share this with Team Charmed Cafe! Can't wait to see what you think of our first true story arc, which is a big part of S2!

I'll hope you get some answers by early next week, if some are busy with weekend activities. ES SAID: Well, you've already got a couple. Here you go! First, here's what I wrote: Just letting everyone know I've been sharing EC with a fan at another site. I've been trying to get her to join the Cafe, but haven't succeeded yet. BUT she loves our EC SO much that she wrote this: You make me want to try my own fantasy version, but a different kind of one, where it focuses on Penny, Patty, Prue, Piper, and Phoebe from Charmed, but if you all give me permission (I'd probably not share it publicly), as wondering if it is possible to do one based on Charmed, with five Halliwells but finding a way to combine Charmed with Elemental Charmed's setting in Salem. That only if I had permission, otherwise, I'll never mention this again. Here's my reply: So?? What do you guys think? Here's Summer's reply: I'm so happy to see we have a fan of EC. If she loves ours so much and she wants to do a fantasy version, go for it. And here's Pheebs': Go for it. I'd feel honored if she wants to do her own version. I would definitely say that you have Team Charmed Cafe's blessing - so GO FOR IT!!! ----------------------- ES SAID: We have two groups going since different members can only join the re-watch on certain days. ES SAID: Well, as you saw, that's why we have two groups - both Saturday and Sunday. The Sunday group re-watches an episode at 7:00 Central (not sure what time that is for you) although Granny Charmed and her family are in Australia and eat lunch after we discuss CCDOW. Since they just started Daylight Savings Time, we've changed our start time to 6:00 Central. If you could join us, that would be absolutely fantastic! ----------------------- ES SAID: I'm only going to post our series premiere since we have our Season One the way we want it (easy for us since we stuck to canon) while Saturday still has a ton of inconsistencies which they want to fix before sharing it with others. That would be great if I could share both versions with you at the same time! When it comes to these virtual series, Pheebs very simply ROCKS it! ----------------------- CARINA SAID: If not, I'd do a different fantasy version series which stars the Halliwell family in San Francisco, and follows the Charmed series, and just find a way to use Patty and Penny for a Power of Five. ES SAID: CARINA SAID: ---------- CARINA SAID: My Halliwell jobs would probably be letting Prue stay at Bucklands, Piper stay at Quake, Phoebe not working and then college. ES SAID: ----------- ES SAID: Speaking of, nothing says you can't switch around the powers and do like we did with EC, letting Penny have premonitions, Patty move things with her mind, Prue transport herself or people, Piper throw fireballs (they're not always evil!) and Phoebe freeze things. ES SAID: And that's exactly what we did with it. We also let her panic-invisible - if the bad guy/gal couldn't see her, they couldn't hurt her. At the Cafe, we had an entire thread about different powers and some of them are pretty interesting. So, of course, I have to share: I agree with the original three, especially if they don't get any other, but that's not that this thread is about - it's about giving them different powers. For me, I'd choose their secondary power, but give it to the proper sister. Molecular acceleration goes to Prue (just like Piper, she only accelerates the molecules until they explode - no combustion included)- she'd still be the one who can protect her sisters Empathy goes to Piper - if she felt what others felt, maybe she wouldn't whine so much, especially if the empathy made her take their pain into herself before it faded so that she could heal the other person - then no need for Leo or any other whitelighter Astral Projection goes to Phoebe - She'd be able to use that similar to her premonitions but have much better control over it since she would send her astral self into the future and find out what's gong to happen and be able to bring it back once she knew. She wouldn't be able to influence what she sees, but would have more freedom as to where she goes and what she sees once she gets there. Phoebe would have invisibility Prue Would have super strength Piper would be a shapeshifter Paige teleportation That way they wouldn't be to strong and each could contribute to the power of three Prue: Firepower Piper: Forcefield Generation Phoebe: Teleportation So, basically, Prue is 'the Attacker', Piper 'the Defender' and Phoebe 'the Escape' I really do think that as the leader, Prue should be the one who gets the premonitions, so she can tell the others what to do and where to go, while still letting Piper be the "Defender" and letting *Phoebe* be the "Attacker" So that makes it this: Prue (and later Paige): Premonitions (Paige would actually orb to the future - this would also prevent Prue from becoming the Mary Sue of the show) Piper: Forcefield Generation Phoebe Firepower (given her past life and her Morality Bites future, it makes sense that she'd be the one with this. BUT she would *not* be able to use this on demons - just warlocks. This means they'd use warlocks more often so they *could* let her use it, while forcing the sisters to use spells and potions on the demons, preventing Phoebe from becoming the Power of One like Canon Piper did once she got her explosion power.) Of course, Universalcharmed didn't follow the rules of not using the original powers, but since I agreed so much with what he said about the oldest having premonitions (part of what got us to agree to give it to Prudence), that I had to include it. One more, my own favorite of this bunch, outside of the one I first shared with you. I happen to appreciate the " timing, feeling and phases of the moon" theme so I would stick to that as a guideline. Also as I'm not super big on the multiple power thing, I'd prefer to do something where their power grows with them as people vs giving them any new abilities separate of the original. So ... Prue - Empathy. Honestly, I'm just really attracted to the idea of giving the emotionally stunted/repressed sister; opening Prue up and forcing her to actually feel things rather than tucking them away. As Prue gets more comfortable with expressing her feelings, her empathy can grow into her being able to communicate empathically and make others feel whatever it is she's feeling. Piper - Chronokinesis. Starts out with her reversing time for a brief period (approx. 15 - 20 seconds). Expands into her being able to slow down time, stop time and speed up time. All for short intervals, never for more than 60 seconds. Her sisters would be unaffected. Phoebe -- Telekinesis. Give the wild one the wild power. Start off with it reflecting Phoebe's lack of focus; TK energy just spewing off all over the place when she tries to use it. As she becomes more focused and disciplined, so does her power. Instead of things just knocking around and flying off in whatever direction, she's able to put her power to stable, practical use by moving/"lifting"/directing objects in the way she wants. As for Paige (who in my mind would be a surprise fourth sister -- not a replacement -- as the other three would still be around): I'd give her Prophetic Dreams. Have her find her sisters through her dreams, maybe. The dreams can develop into full blown foresight and a precognitive sense. Or maybe into Precognition, Clairvoyance and Retrocognition labelled simply "Premonitions" like we saw with Phoebe. That should give you plenty to think about! Of course all of these are Powers of Three and sounds like you want a Power of Five, but it should help you decide what exactly you want to give to whom! ----------- CARINA SAID: We'll see how I go. ES SAID: I can't wait to find out!! CARINA SAID: Me too to do it, and share it. ES SAID: ------------ CARINA SAID: I'd probably kill off one Halliwell star at the end of Season Three, so Paige could join and replace someone. ES SAID: Exactly - time will tell. I'm sure it depends upon how busy you get around the holiday season - a VERY crazy time for me! CARINA SAID: Absolutely will. ES SAID: ---------------- CARINIA SAID: I'd call my series The Power of Five or House of Halliwells not Charmed. ES SAID: And since you're doing it as your own series and not a reboot of Charmed, you most definitely could. I really hope you do it!! CARINA SAID: ES SAID: ---------- CARINA SAID: I'd probably do it as a press release, I really don't think I'll finish the thing, if I did it as a script or fanfic story. ES SAID: VERY good idea - it's so much easier to do it this way, or the way we did CCDOW which tells more of the plot since it's based on Classic Charmed. Do whatever works best for you. CARINA SAID: Thank you, I will. It sounds so much easier. ES SAID: It really is. I think it's why we ended up having so many people join Team Charmed Cafe, so they could write their own press releases for their own episodes. We finished EC in a little less than 8 months! I'm sure if one of us had tried doing it on our own OR do it as actual scripts or fanfic story it would've taken us much, MUCH long, if we'd even finished. SOOO much more fun doing it as a group, which is why I'm SO glad we christened ourselves Team Charmed Cafe where any member of the Cafe could join. ES SAID: Perfect! ------------------ ES SAID: Since this one is getting long and is all about YOUR fantasy version, I decided to let it have its own post and start a new one for the rest of your reviews. I hope that's okay with you, Carina! CARINA SAID: That is fine by me. ES SAID:

phoebeville PHOEBEVILLE SAID: This is so very cool. PVILLE: And that makes me sad, but, I can be happy that in this alternate universe, we get it. And the writers especially, because, I've always appreciated PHOEBEVILLE SAID: And I'm glad it is important the sisterhood. PVILLE: Me too, I gave it a go, so people can't say I didn't try. It sure turned me off. That I don't like at all, that some fans say that. I'd prefer NO-Charmed than what we got with Fake Charmed. They should have gave it a different name, but then I guess it never would be picked up, if they did that. Because, its all about the reboots these days. PVILLE: Before Kern totally too over, I agree, it wasn't that way. But after, it felt that way to me turning more male-centric. I'm glad Elemental Charmed won't do that. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: Set in Salem, this sounds fun. ES SAID: We sure thought so! PVILLE: PHOEBEVILLE SAID: I do like this. ES SAID: I'm glad! PVILLE: PHOEBEVILLE SAID: Yes, very different for the CW, but I like the idea, good to be different for a reboot. ESMERALDA SAID: We definitely thought so. PVILLE: I'm glad. PVILLE: Who could forget Season 6, when they did acts that really were not right. I'm glad they liked it, because I certainly do. PHOEBEVILLE SAID: And I'd check out this pilot myself. ES SAID: So would I! PVILLE:

Esmeralda Pheebs PVILLE: Three generations sounds like so much fun. PVILLE: And the right call was made, this sounds like it is going to be much more fun than the real reboot. And the fact I've seen that and got bored of it, this might make me so much happier, to see a reboot done better. PVILLE: Yes, I do like to forget the outside world for an hour, it provides comfort to so many, when a show does that. PVILLE: Me too. I find although Hollywood thinks it is doing right with representation with LGBT and people or color these days. They need to better represent age, and that is a big problem on television. It is getting better, but I feel we are still could do better. PVILLE: That sounds great. PVILLE: And giving them a voice is very good, this show looks like it is going to be fun. Put that horrible reboot as a distant memory. PVILLE: Yes please, this will let me get to know the family better. Not something the reboot did well. PVILLE: I love good family feelings. PVILLE: You really put lots of thought into this, especially the family and their jobs. PVILLE: I'm glad, looks like a good balance. PVILLE: I'm sure it would be, but so much fun. PVILLE: Fantasy, drama and emotionally intense stories, sign me up!!! PVILLE: This sounds great. PVILLE: This sounds like it is going to be fun.

PheebsCARINA SAID: Here we are, Season Two. I'm sure all summer, I'd be dying to know what happened from that cliffhanger. Reading every tease released with Deadline. SEASON TWO [/div] CARINA SAID: And of course, I'm dying to know what they are arguing about. CARINA SAID: And, this is fantastic. Oh, Connie, you still got it, you know how to get me hooked in. CARINA SAID: And, I'm smiling with that we waste no time finding out what happened in the cliffhanger. I was worried, we open right into the past, so I'm still on the edge of my seat waiting. And I'm so happy, Paul and Sheryl, I'm expecting so much fun from your episode. CARINA SAID: I can only imagine, but I'm sure Shannen and Alyssa will be proud of the script they have in their hands, ready to dive right into a great part. CARINA SAID: Alyssa that was so good to hear. And yes, new experiences and insights, I so want to see them work together, and yes right back to business as usual, and you two rock. Always have on Charmed. Alyssa and Shannen's on-screen chemistry is always fantastic. I don't believe the problems they had were really that big, and were just spin. CARINA SAID: Shannen, this role is perfect for you, and I'm so happy you got the part. I'm excited too Shannen, I'm excited too.
CARINA SAID: I can only imagine they were. CARINA SAID:
CARINA SAID: I'm glad the door isn't closed completely. But, your right to not want them to steal screentime from our stars. So if their appearances are no more than once or twice a season, so be it.
CARINA SAID: YAY, bring on October 13th!!! CARINA SAID: I'm glad the shift was an easy process. CARINA SAID: So glad you ladies are at New York Comic Con. I'm glad, it won't go as dark as Charmed Season 3 and 4, but the occassional scary episode like in Season One, I can accept. Let us have a balance. I'm so glad they are going to keep the humor, and yes "Is There a Woogy in the House", is the perfect example, Piper really brought the humor, and balance in that one so it was pure scary, the same way Piper and Phoebe's side plot in Dream Sorcerer was added, and many others. CARINA SAID: And, I'm looking forward to the story-arcs. Burged explained. “ Season One was the Elemental Witches' first chapter, with the first season an introduction to the world of the Warrens and Salem; the demonesses and warlocks become more threatening as the story progressed, and as you got deeper into mythology and you learned secrets about their past and about the Warren ancestors, like we teased in Part One of our season finale, introducing Mary Ann Warren played by Alyssa Milano and Jenna played by Shannen Doherty. I think bolting down and digging into more mythology of the demoness world, of the magic world, of the Wicca world, we’re gonna learn a lot.”

CARINA SAID: I can't wait. Give me more mythology, and secrets. CARINA SAID: I'm glad they are, and so excited for their parts. CARINA SAID: I can't wait, and yes looking forward to Andrea Halliwell's return. Getting to visit Philadelphia sounds like fun.

The ironic thing is that, while you lot at the Cafe, hate the reboot (and I can understand why, this is not the show you wanted), it also inspired you to start this.
Without the reboot, there might not be an EC or a CCDOW.
As I said, ironic

CARINA SAID: No, this isn't good. Picturing my favorite stars killing this scene. CARINA SAID: It is sure to charm my pants off, I'm already hooked. CARINA SAID: Yes, I'm one of those anxious fans waiting for "The Life and Death of Mary Ann Warren (Part Two)" . CARINA SAID: And what a great finale that was. A huge yes from me to watch the rebroadcast of it before the new season right after. CARINA SAID: I love twists. CARINA SAID: I''m so glad it did. CARINA SAID: I love little nods. CARINA SAID: How exciting. CARINA SAID: And I'm not surprised, but your killing me over here to know who it is. CARINA SAID: It is Mary Ann. I was for sure it was Jenna, and she played a part in her death. Oh man, that is one really juicy backstory. CARINA SAID: And I love this even more, that the witch hunter and warlock is taken over by the spirit of Jenna. This is perfect. I love this season finale, the pay off was worth it, and to learn that Jenna played a part in Mary Ann's death, talk about amazing. I love this more than Matthew betraying Melinda. So much better when it is more female-centric. Bring on the rest of Season Two. It can only get better from here.

Pheebs Esmeralda ES: Like I keep saying - I sure hope you think so after you're done!
By the way, if like Carina, you just want to read my replies, but go onto the next bunch of "press releases", that's perfectly AOK with me. If there's anything you specifically want to reply to, you can do that at the beginning like she does. This all works fine for me.
PVILLE: I do too. I think that might be a good idea, since I'm going to be reading EC, and also your Dream Charmed, jugging two will make me spend less time on reading new content by going over old comments.
But, some stuff to touch on, and I'll repeat them here.
---------------------
PVILLE: Me too. I find although Hollywood thinks it is doing right with representation with LGBT and people or color these days. They need to better represent age, and that is a big problem on television. It is getting better, but I feel we are still could do better.
ES: You're absolutely right about that. And we touched on these other things but never made them more important than the Warrens being family who happen to be witches. We were never preachy.
PVILLE: Thank you so much. I'm very happy, I don't like stuff too preachy.
----------------------------
PVILLE: Yes, I do like to forget the outside world for an hour, it provides comfort to so many, when a show does that.
ES: And the way the rip-off DIDN'T do that is why we don't think it will ever be a classic no matter how long it lasts. OUR Charmed will ALWAYS be CLASSIC Charmed!
PVILLE: I'm so happy to hear that.
PVILLE: You really put lots of thought into this, especially the family and their jobs. ES: We had SUCH a fun time doing that - brainstorming what would work best. And the fun part of being a VIRTUAL series is we can have as many sets as we want. That doesn't happen in the real world very often!
PVILLE: It sure looks like you did. Your right about that, as a virtual series you can have as many sets as you want.
The brainstorming looks like you had just as much fun planning as you did writing this series.
NEW ELEMENTAL CHARMED REACTIONS
PVILLE: It really wouldn't be, and I still think the decision to have them being raised by their father who isn't a witch, makes so much sense in this set-up, the best way to do a series with five family members, by letting the younger ones be in the dark, and the older ones not.
Whoever came up with that idea in your team, deserves a high five.
PVILLE: And I like this.
PVILLE: Don't pressure them. Let them make that choice. I'll admit, fake Charmed let the new sisters have a choice in the first episode, for 24 or 48 hours to decide if they want to accept their destiny, otherwise, if they decided no, then, they'll forget any of this conversation happened and go back to their lives.
PVILLE: Of course, their grief is on their mind. But I'm glad we mourn Victor.
PVILLE: So it was Summer Reading who came up with the backstory right, well, high five.
I really liked this pilot, much better than fake Charmed, and I'm actually really feel like you did the justice. Yes, very happy.
For sure, I'd tune into episode 2. Lets see if it can make it past episode 10 of fake Charmed, which is when I stopped that. I hope so, and think I will.
PVILLE: Veryn happy to hear that. YAY socual media fans took a liking to it, of course they would, it had better publicity here.
PVILLE: I'm so happy to hear that.
PVILLE: And these Deadline Articles are very good. Pheebs you did a great job.

And in this series, they manage to actually save their Innocents most of the time. And when they lose one, they actually care about it.
